Why You Should Use a Groupon Coupon to Save Money

We all know coupons are a great way to save money on the things you buy everyday. Have you used a coupon for anything before? If so, then you know what I mean (whether it is big or small). However, we also know that “couponing” is a very tedious task. While I love to save money, I stayed away from this option of saving money because:

  1. I have enough tedious tasks in my life
  2. I simply didn’t want “couponing” to be one of those tedious tasks.

If I happen to see a coupon while browsing the newspaper or a magazine or a random website, then I cut or clip away, but it’s never intentional.

It’s the same deal as online “couponing”. I’ve always stayed away because it is time-consuming (especially if you have to visit many sites to find the deals you want)

I already use Groupon to search for travel deals, kids activities, dinner deals, or simple gadgets. That was enough for me to at least take a look to see what Groupon coupons have to offer. Groupon coupons is essentially an online source/database to get deals from stores you shop in everyday or at least become aware of current sales. The following are just a few of the companies that participate:

  • Macy’s
  • Amazon
  • Babies R’ Us
  • Gap
  • Target
  • Toys R’ Us

Everyday things like kitchen supplies and clothes from your favorite stores are well and good, but you know I had to see how deep their network reached. So I looked up some homeschooling companies and companies that make products that can be used in your homeschooling journey. As you would have it, they had coupons for great companies like:

  • Alpha Omega Publications
  • Melissa & Doug
  • Barnes & Noble
  • Scholastic Store
  • Scholastic Teacher Express
  • Learning Resources

And they seem to be increasingly growing.

You can also find the latest in sales from auto part stores to travel sites like Travelocity. They even had an Uber promo code. Say what? That may not be huge for you, but that was super huge for me. If you live in New York, you know how Uber can sometimes save you from the horrors of public transportation. So kudos to Groupon coupons for that one.

There are definitely worthy competitors. As a matter of fact, there is atleast 1 that comes to mind, but here is where Groupon coupons are different:

  • No one but Groupon is posting to the site, so that deals are more accurate and valid. Hence they are all verified by various retailers.
  • There are various ways to organize your search by various categories (i.e. most popular, books, store etc.)

Groupon coupons does a good job letting you know of current deals for particular stores if there are no coupons available.

If you haven’t tried out the Groupon coupons, I suggest you check it out. It is certainly useful. If you are a saving fanatic, well then, do you need another reason?

Happy Trails!
